Job description

Project Coordinator - Design Consultancy 6-month FTC | Pro rata £55,000 - £65,000 | Immediate Start | View to Perm

We're working with a globally recognised design & innovation consultancy to find a Project Coordinator to join their team on an initial 6-month contract - with a genuine intention to bring the right person on permanently once that wraps up.

This is a newly created role, so there's real opportunity to shape what it looks like. If you're someone who thrives in fast-moving creative environments & gets energy from being the person who makes everything run smoothly behind the scenes, this could be a great one.

The Role

You'll be embedded across 2-3 design consulting projects at any one time, working closely alongside Project Leads to handle the operational & logistical side of delivery. Think of yourself as a force multiplier - keeping timelines on track, budgets in check & the team focused on the creative work.

Day-to-day you'll be:

Owning project plans, timelines & resource schedules - surfacing risks before they land

Managing end-to-end logistics: scheduling, travel, vendor coordination & materials

Tracking budgets & flagging variances to the Project Lead

Keeping project documentation tight & accessible (SOW, status reports, action logs)

Running weekly status rhythms & stand-ups, prepping agendas & circulating clear notes

Acting as the day-to-day operational contact on the client side

Preparing client-facing materials: agendas, session recaps, status updates

Supporting the onboarding of new team members & contributing to how the coordinator role evolves

What We're Looking For

3-5 years of project or programme management experience in a design, creative, innovation or consulting agency environment

Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail & follow-through

Confident communicator - warm, clear & comfortable managing up as well as across

Experience managing budgets, schedules & resource plans across multi-disciplinary teams

Comfortable in ambiguity - you adapt fluidly & don't wait to be told

Proficient with tools like Asana, Notion, Google Workspace, Harvest or similar

Familiarity with agile ways of working (kanban, retros, continuous feedback loops)

Working Pattern

Hybrid - 3 days in their London office & 2 days from home each week.

The Culture

This is a team that takes craft seriously & values curiosity, self-awareness & a genuine bias to action. You won't be a small cog in a big coordination machine - you'll have real autonomy & be expected to contribute ideas on how the role itself develops.
