<p dir="ltr">FREELANCE CONTENT STRATEGIST<br> Major Digital Publisher · London, Hybrid · 25 Days · Outside IR35</p> <p dir="ltr">AT A GLANCE<br> Rate: £400/day (outside IR35)<br> Structure: 25 days total - approx 3 days/week over 2 months (flexible)<br> Start: ASAP - must complete before early October<br> Location: London - 2 days in office, 3 days remote weekly </p> <p dir="ltr">THE COMPANY<br> One of the UK's biggest digital publishers with a massive global following built through real-life storytelling - documentary, reality and human interest content at scale. 10 million YouTube subscribers, 50 million+ social followers across Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. A portfolio of 4 to 5 established content brands with loyal audiences and a genuine ambition to push them further in a saturated social environment.</p> <p dir="ltr">THE ROLE<br> A video strategy and audience growth engagement - this is the core of the brief. You will develop a platform-by-platform strategy, build a brand growth roadmap, define content formats and cadence, design scalable content systems and present a bold, implementable strategy that the in-house team can sustain. You will also help set strategic direction for the social team for continuity after your engagement ends.</p> <p dir="ltr">Platform priority order: Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. This is a publisher - monetisation dynamics on Snap and Facebook are central to the brief. The ideal candidate has broader platform expertise beyond TikTok and Instagram, and brings genuine experience from the short-form digital content world - particularly documentary or reality.</p> <p dir="ltr">WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING</p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>Develop a platform-by-platform video strategy tailored to each channel <li>Build a growth roadmap for 4 to 5 hero content brands including standalone brand development <li>Design scalable content systems and workflows the in-house team can execute and sustain <li>Define what content gets made, in what format and how often on each platform <li>Review current workflows and recommend smarter, more efficient ways of working <li>Explore what new IP could look like under the publisher umbrella <li>Present a clear, prioritised and implementable strategy to senior stakeholders <li>Help set strategic direction for the in-house social team for continuity after engagement </ul> <p dir="ltr">WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR</p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>Strong expertise in video strategy and audience growth - this is the number one requirement <li>Background in short-form digital content, particularly documentary or reality <li>Experience at or with companies such as LADbible, Channel 4.0, The Cut or VICE - closest profile fit <li>Broader platform knowledge across YouTube, Snapchat and Facebook - not just TikTok and Instagram <li>Track record of designing scalable content systems and growing audiences at scale <li>Case studies of brand and audience building to demonstrate real results <li>Confident challenging existing workflows and recommending bold changes <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills - you will present to senior leadership <li>Lively, informal personality - team has young energy and cultural fit genuinely matters </ul> <p dir="ltr">HOW TO APPLY<br> Apply via the link or email Ella.augustin@majorplayers.co.uk with your CV/portfolio, availability and a short paragraph on why you are a great fit for the role.</p>
